This painting was done oil on canvas. It was inspired by the Belgium Bike Races held in the spring of each year. The races are referred to as the Spring Classics and bike racing is a very popular sport in Belgium, France and Europe. This oil painting depicts the spring season with newly green grass and trees without leaves. The Arden Forest is the playing field of the Belgium Bike Races: Tour of Flanders, Milan-San Remo, Paris-Roubaix, Amstel Gold Bike Race, Ghent-Wevelgem, Het-Volk, San Sebastian, Liege-Bastogne, Fleche Wallonne,Giro d' Italia, Tour of Flanders, Tour de France. A historic documentation of the modern peloton snaking through  the Arden like a Chinese dragon on Chinese New Year. The colors of the team jerseys, the arrowhead of the front of the pack, riders falling off the back. The fan with the Lion of Flanders flag.
