Marriage
This painting was inspired by a friend's wedding. It shows two people sailing on a sailboat; the symbolism represents marriage as a vessel that carries two lovers through a sea of adventure and discovery as well as a journey. The importance of the wind, to the sailor, is illustrated by the visible brushstrokes representing the wind. The wind flows and ebbs around the sail driving the boat as an invisible force that drives a marriage. The original painting was a gift to Francious and Illaria and only reproductions are available at this time. |
